That’s a really nice restoration that truck looks like it just rolled off the production line. Amazing work!

Hi Andrew I sold it for just under 12k ...which probably worked out £2 an hour ?..but it was as new ..this one below I had for good few years I adapted a 70 series landcruiser rear tub I bought new off a military supplier that had taken off to fit a different platform I cut the ladder rack down for scale to my truck as it was 8” higher ...made some adapter plates up to fit my chassis mounts on a mk3 hilux ..and built a crane I could lift in and out ..hoist /crane top part bought out of ex BT van the bottom I made up and had powder coated to match it could swivel and there was a drop down bar that stopped truck leaning when lifting heavy objects ) .it had a lovely early hilux bench seat I found and covered in leather ..I just had an offer I couldn’t turn down ..wish ide kept it but how much can we keep ..I have a nice hilux now which is my winter hack ..( for the keen eyed ones on here the fuel filler cap hanging was connected up to an adapter I made up as original silver fuel cap was wrong position fir my filler neck ) so I bought a fuel door from USA and connected up in there ..?

Crikey. One could eat dinner off literally any part of that Hilux - although I'd imagine you'd be there with a pitchfork if someone actually did! I would suggest Edwrai is being a bit conservative - that's probably better than it was off the production line.

Thank you robin ..I suppose it’s my engineering background I did my apprenticeship in Westland helicopters toolroom extending my time to do aircraft work in the experimental dept there ..I then worked all over Europe and North Africa contracting for Fokker in Holland ..Saab aircraft in Sweden optica in uk .per udson in Denmark ..airospatial France and Germany ..plus more and more ..finally set up 2 engineering co here then finished 15 years ago to do things I like phew ? ..
