WORD OF WARNING

be very careful with the wheels and speed bumps/potholes or esle you will have an expensive bill on your hands

those wheels are a nightmare and buckle easily - see previous posts

any chance of asking what you paid? private or trade?

I had a scare when i went over a pot hole yesterday... was quite a violent shock to the front suspension... but no damage aparently... but yeh, i can see how easily one could potentially curb those shiny 17"s. Unfortunatly I live in speed bump central, so its a nightmare, but still not too bad as I use to drive a classic mini cooper so it feels a lot smoother to me. I paid 9.5K from Audi Stansted. 2 year free servicing and 1 year warrenty.

Nice looking car

BUCKLING - the wheel compound is soft so the wheels easilly bend...

new A2

I get a bit worried about wheel damage, I take my dog to a country park every day, the road in the park is just wide enough for 2 cars driving at the 20mph speed limit.
So why is it that virtually every pristine 4x4 with great chunky boots forces me into the rough. What did they buy the hulking brutes for if they are afraid of a few potholes and mud? I see my little elastic bands on soft alloy wheels sinking into muddy pot holes every day while they serenely drive down the middle to avoid the mud and rough.
I'm getting to be a grumpy old man, so don't start me off.

I can understand not wanting to get a shiney 4x4 dirty it must take ages to clean it. certainly more time than cleaning an A2 so try and be a bit sympathetic.

im with holly... for godsake its meant to handle ****ty roads... and your not supposed to clean a 4x4

you ever seen a farmer with a bucket and spundge gettin down to it with his defender...

i rest my case

hahaha... sorry to laugh, but its funny cos its so true. i can understand why people would enjoy recreational driving with a 4x4 but not how one could possibily justify owning a 4x4 for in town use... all that rubbish about safety in a crash is useless as was proven in last nights fifth gear. however, when ever i see a defender and its full of dirty and mud i feel a lot of respect for the owner/driver as they have put their tool to good use.

Nice photo, but a couple of questions:

1 - Why is the car stopped in the middle of the road?

2 - Have the side windows been put through - because there appears to be no glass in them?

Apart from those two niggles, great looking car, but then it is a) black and b) an A2, so it's bound to look fantastic!

I agree black is a great colour for the A2 more so when clean and polished and add an open sky it just looks fantastic

i'm a photographer, and my friend and I were doing some nice long time lapse shots of traffic during the evening on A406 near brent cross... The car is not parked in the middle of the road even tho it is... :D Its the abandoned car park area near brent cross shopping centre which was a nice spot I thought... The reason why the rear windows look like they've been put through is due to the flash... I will take some better pics of the car as this one was just some experiment we thought we'd try. Incidentally, if you wanna check out the time lapse, you can go to:
