Hi folks anyone know what this wire does ? It's well protected in behind top of bumper mine was cut off with no connector, and I can't see anything obviously missing a connection in the area. Any ideas? There is one brown and one purple and red wire. It's an fsi 2004 with aircon. Cheers nod

Is your aircon working? The high pressure sensor is just visible on your second photo, is the wiring for this connected?

For ref, both are shown in this pic -

Cheers Spike

Thanks for the replies. The aircon pressure sensor and outside temperature sensors are both connected.
The aircon doesn't work but that could be a low pressure problem as I've not had it regassed.
It could be foglights. The wires are quite thick, thicker than sensor wires. But the car doesn't have fog lights,so I'm still not sure.
The wire is in the same part of the loom as the outside temperature sensor.
Not sure where the horn is, but it works.

I've had a search on the forum, it looks like this wire is for foglights which must have been removed at some point....Cheers

Absolutely correct. Those are the wires for front fog lights.

Cheers,

Tom

Makes fitting a set of fog light very easy especially if they left the double pull light switch in place
If not then the auto light switch is a good upgrade
