Had to drill a hole in the piece of trim under the coin shelf (eek) before attaching the usb and audio cables to the Xcarlink.

A little bit of tinkering tonight and the climate control panel has had a bit of a makeover. Donor unit was an A4 B5 Climate Panel from eBay and as ever, A2OC provided all the information one could need. Opted only to do the inner buttons for now, outers may follow at some point.

That is the down side to the soft touch switches, the coating does come off to some extent no matter how careful you are with them. The A4 donor unit switches are normally more black than most soft touch switches and there is a way to repaint them soft touch, but I have yet to find a suitable way of masking off the symbols accurately. Personally the slight contrast you have between the lighter panel and darker switches I do not find unpleasant.

Managed to spend some time this afternoon fitting the heated mirror glass on Pimey. I'd post a picture but the glass looks near-identical!
Just need @timmus to work his magic on the living room full of other bits and bobs that I've purchased for the car! Hopefully before my long suffering other half reaches the end of her tether with car parts cluttering up the place!
