New Car

Just thought I'd introduce myself to you all. Have been reading for a while now, throughout my research for the hunt for a new car for myself and my mum. Critea was, something narrow (to fit in the garage), something taller (to make it easier for my elderly mother to get in). Had to be five door as potentially grand kids on the way. Narrowed it down to an A2 or a Honda Jazz.

Anyway, today I put a deposit on this. Its an 05 A2 TDI 90 Sport, Akoya silver, has full black leather, opensky, bose, electric rear windows. Car is immaculate. Has done 20,000 miles (a little high I know, but I average about 3,000 a year and so will easily balance this out). Given £12000 for it from my local audi dealer. What do you all reckon? A decent deal? The 90's seem very rare at the moment and my son insisted that I get the sport with the bigger wheels, 3 spoke steering wheel, etc.

Nice spec. Watch potholes in those wheels as you will find when you read around that they are prone to 'bending' a bit.

other then that, good luck with the new little machine!

We have a 90 aswell and its a nice little mover. £12k isnt bad from a dealer for an 05 car.
 
Nothing mate it the one we are wanting if only we can sell our car in time.:( .

thats a nice setup it will always sell quickly and with better residuals

its very similar to mine so image youve got 2 and a half years / 55K for apx 6 grand = £150-£225 depreciation a month

if so thats a pretty good figure (even if it is a little crude)

Thanks alot for your comments. We pick it up next saturday all being well and I'll be sure to post lots more, high quality pics. Must admit that I'm absolutely astonished at £50 tax. That's less than our friends motorbike!!!
 
Hope your Mum doesn't mind the 'sport' ride quality! Other than that, I think you'll have a great car.
 
No she's fine. We took her on all the test drives. To be honest we found very little difference between that and the SE.
 
Does your's have the second boot floor? This one doesn't. Did like that in the SE. Can it be fitted do you know?
