New Fiat Croma

I saw it at the Geneva Show last month. Thought it a bit pointless. Big, and neither an estate nor a "proper" executive car... Exactly the same that can be said of the Vauxhall Signum (that looks miles better) and the Renault Val Satis. See loads of these around? Do we see loads of Fiats around for that matter? No. So a VERY pointless car IMHO. Even inside it is neither clever, huge nor especially special... And to give it the Chroma name again?!!! Panda is a good name to re-use, but Chroma? I think not.

interior is hideous - reminds me of Korean motor interiors, plus is it me or can I see the old shape hidden in those lines?

Not sure if it is just me, but this does not look typically Fiat. Does not appear to have any Italian lines what so ever. I have owned 3 Fiat Marea 'Weekend's' (Estate) which were brilliant work-horses and absolutely fantastic value. I tended to buy them at 6 months old as ex-lease cars for half their original sale value but with less than 11K on the clock. The trouble was, the residual value was lousey.

Croma's never rotted like Alfa suds! They were galvanised and exaclty the same floorpan as the Saab 9000, and Alfa 164. In fact one of my old Flight Ops chaps still drives a 2 ltr injection model through the lincolnshire's muddy lanes and it's still rust free!
