New fuse cover, and new headlamp motor fitted

Ordered a new fusebox cover, but discovered they no longer make my dash colour, ended up spraying it the correct colour, came out really well,
And fitted a new headlamp motor, surprised me how easy it was to change 😁, thanks for the link to the motor Ian, @Proghound 👍🏻👍🏻

Pleased but not surprised that a new motor fixed your light problem. These motors, which are common to many vehicles, and not VAG specific, have a history of failing in old age, and a new one is always the way to go, given how cheap they are.

I replaced both mine in 2019 when one of the motors had seized, and I remember the job as being a bit fiddly. However, looking back at the pictures I took at the time, I can see that the motor unit is actually one of the easier parts to swap over,.

The only difference I've noticed with the new unit, is it's slightly slower to move than the other one, I thought maybe because it wasn't a genuine one?
But yes, once the light unit is out it's pretty straight forward, take the back off, remove the plug to the motor, twist it to the right 45 degrees and then unhook the the control arm👍 below photo is of the old failed unit.
