New Micra

Yip - I rented the first one I laid my eyes on! As I work in Gatwick airport I walk past the rental place every day... so just had to rent it. Was a 3 door 1,2 S... and believe me nothing has impressed me this much since my own A2! Brilliant Brilliant car... amazing quality inside - it has some of the best stalks I've ever experienced... spacious (in the front - very cramped in the rear - too used to the masses of legroom (depth wise) an A2 has)... and to boot it handled a treat. It just felt secure and VERY eager... and this was a 1,2 remember! It just wanted to go and go and go! I LOVED it!
I won't buy one... to girly image in this country - though I love the design and the daringness, moderness and retroness of the thing... and the better specced ones come with climatronic, part leather seats, keyless go... and Nissan reliability... I'd highly recommend one to anyone that can see past the up-to-now Micra-is-for-old-people blindness...

Too late folks we've bought one for my son! See him at the social and tell him he's wrong! Seriously though, we at first thought of buying new A2 and giving him the one we have now (floppy wiper and A2), but I found it difficult to reconcile the cost of ownership of an A2 for someone of limited financial resources. In other words it would cost him an arm and a leg to maintain in tip top condition, but a new Micra is guaranteed for 3 years, so minimal cost. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Most people I speak to think the floppy wiper with A2 is ugly, but we don't do we? Any way he gets the floppy wiper with A2 when I go to the great Audi dealer in the sky, I bet he sells the Micra then.

There's quite a few really, but if I had to pick one it's got to be the Fiat Multipla (if they're still for sale). But if that's too obvious then it's got to be the Morgan Aero 8:
