Yuk!!, I know you are limited for time, but just keep going. Which coolant flange was the latest pictures of? Still looks like there is a bad blockage in there and the flow is not great enough to blast it out. How is the rest of the system looking? Take off pipes 5 and 2 to get at the heater and 2 and 15 for Webasto. Can you blow any more of the crap out from disconnected pipes? Try to remove as much as possible before adding anything else to the system.
Hi LG,Surely someone has mistakenly put oil in there. Has anyone tried, as an experiment, mixing two different types of anti freeze to see what happens?(Yes, I know, in a cooling system it's hot and under pressure so maybe hard to re-produce on the kitchen table, (unless your missus has a pressure cooker, (be sure to clean it afterwards!))
Maybe it's why it was up for sale? Is a heater matric replacement not an option? It might be a better option to replace as much as possible with used bits. And the bits you remove need to go into an "A2 museum of horrors".
You have my sympathy mate.
LG.
This is how much has come out so far..Thermostat out of the car I take it. What does it smell of? To the left of your upper photo, that little pipe is the return, does it have a reasonable flow from it?
Hey that's no problem Spike,as this is turning into qute a saga... ?Oops - Apologies, I see you already had the thermostat and heater core pipe removal covered
Should have fully read your earlier posts before commenting
Cheers Spike
Hi Andy, apparently i don't have permission to view the link but nevermind...This is a real horror story. I would replace as much of the coolant system as possible using parts from the recyclers on here. I do not know if this ad is still current but it is a start...

The link is for 3 coolant hoses, described as top and bottom hoses (radiator?) + 1 other (smaller hose) for TDI75. Cost is £15 posted so at that price I would buy and replace and not waste effort clearing gunk out of what you have got.Hi Andy, apparently i don't have permission to view the link but nevermind...
I have a spare rad and i'm trying to source a heater matrix as i think thats full as well but I'll just keep plugging away as time allows..
Thanks, Tony..
Thanks Andrew, thats a great idea and i won't change to the new hoses until I'm confident that all's cleared...Just thought, it would be more direct for you to PM the seller if you choose to buy. The seller is @Naedugs.
Andy
You are right as it was placed there just for picture purposes and I'm going to keep at it until all becomes clearer with air and water plus detergents..One other comment, if the large barrel is collecting the outflow then to make it easier for it to drain try to have it as low as possible to prevent the sludge having to go uphill. I realise you may have placed it there to photograph and it does stay on the floor.
