Did a round trip to Birmingham last weekend and hit a personal best of 47mpg with 425 miles to a full tank (42L). I suspect this could have been better if I wasn't pushing it on the way there. Trip home was 70mph all the way. Previous best has been 390 miles at 44.5mpg. These are numbers from Fuelly not the DIS.



What I don't understand is why the DIS only showed around 44mpg for the trip (I reset it for every tank). Seems quite a large discrepancy for 425 miles?

It is possible to adjust the DIS MPG figures via VAGCOM if you are absolutely sure by how much it is always out by.

First time I've noticed it to be this large - although it has overestimated the MPG quite a bit. Take it with a pinch of salt I suppose!
