My car is returning 35mpg as shown on dis...shocking and the worst I've had since owning a2. From a full tank and with just under quarter I've done 260 miles. So I'm not getting good economy at the moment. Partly due to weather and a/c on but should be getting better!!!
Last tank fill car achieved low 40's, lots of short journeys and cold mornings, disappointed to say the least, last week when i went to fill up i checked tyre pressures as i do every month and found passenger rear down to 18psi, changed said wheel over with my spare and over the last week mpg back up to what i expect this time of year with my driving style and conditions high 50's. worth a check cammy.
A faulty thermostat and or temp sensor can affect mpg. They are also quite cheap, so maybe worth changing.

Is that £25 for a thermostat? If it is they're rob dogs!Yes buy from Audi. £20-25 isnt much for a genuine part.
This time of year aways reduces my MPG's with short journeys and the webasto running to get the car warmed up. But mine has still been in the mid 50's as i've changed jobs so travelling further for work so the car is warming up. Cammy Murdo is around your neck of the woods isn't he well in scotland's local so to speak lol
Cheers Phil
my 1.4 petrol is doing 47mpg... is that about right?
For comparison, i managed 51mpg at 60mph with two adults on a 50 mile motorway run, in a 1.6 FSI
What size wheels were you running ?
17" 205/40/17's and a rear buckled wheel
