Hello A2 owners.

As you can now see, the new International Audi A2 Owners Club site is now live.

Please take the time to update your user profile by clicking on the User CP link in the navigation bar at the top of the page. We have moved the old user database and forum content into a new piece of software. As a result, some of the user information that you previously entered into the old system may have been lost in the transfer.

Over the coming week, we will be incorporating much of the content from the old A2OC.NET site into this new repository. All of the old fitting guides, articles and images will be brought in for your benefit. Please bear with us during this transfer.

Both of the old web site names will continue to function. The A2OC.NET name will point to the Home page. The A2FORUM.NET name will take your straight to the Forums. The content is identical.

Please note that the domain name records were updated on Sun 30 October - so it will take up to 48 hours for www.a2oc.net and www.a2forum.net to point to the correct place. You have probably accessed this site using a2oc.net

We have a range of other enhancements that we will be phasing in over the coming months. Watch this space.

The A2OC team.

Congratulations on the new look and on getting everything out of Snitz in one piece :) Best of luck for implementing the future developments...

Thanks.

It was an exciting adventure - but actually fairly painless. Steps were (for the geeks amongst us):

- Export tables from MS Access into a Unix MySQL 5 server via an ODBC MySql connector.
- Copy all archived topics into topics table
- Copy all archived posts into posts table
- Run the vBulletin ImpEx importer

I didn't bring in all the old smiles - but will source a new fresh set for the site.

Ben.

also congrats

Wow i was gutted when i clicked my Audi A2 link an its came up invalid, but got redirected via e-mail. The new site looks wicked, love the look. really think it enhances this club. Nice work!

Ah that's a good point - I'll sort out the default error page to include a pointer to the home page.

I like the new site format but finding it a bit tidious at times trying to find my way around. Not immeddiatly obvious as to what the new posts are but I am sure i will get used to it eventually
