Newbie A2 TDI owner...

This morning
Me : (feeling very pleased) I got 57mpg at my last fill up...?
Her: (failing to feign any interest at all) that's really good darling...
Me: ????
I have the same conversations with my other half all the time, she says “don’t all cars do that sort of mpg?!”
Think I need to get her to fill up once in a while!!!

I have the other problem. My wife HATES driving with less than 1/4 tank and will stop and put £10 in but doesn’t tell me. Last week I realised something was odd when I hit 525 and had just under 1/4 tank left. I was fuming! When I mention it she just rolls her eyes!!! ?

There must be some confusion related to the unit you are using....
Try to swap to "shoes". From the day I told my boss that the 1.2TDI I just had bought had a consumption so low that one could buy a pair of shoes for the difference, she was all in....
Try it :) ??

My wife is the same - she doesn't care about MPG at all, but she does at least accept that I do. I've also told her the Touran, which we share, must have the millers additive added at the pump if it's getting filled at the supermarket, which has put her off putting fuel in it altogether - The agreement we have is that basically she leaves putting fuel in it to me - So I never allow it to get much under a 1/4 of a tank!

I occasionally catch her rolling her eyes when I input the latest figures into my chosen MPG monitoring app (Spritmonitor - it's pretty good and better than fuelly - I think @gills put me onto it). But she knows I get perverse pleasure in this so just accepts it as a quirk (I think!).
