Hello A2 Community,
I am Jean, 40 from Strasbourg France. I am a new owner an AUDI A2 1.6 FSI PACK 2004, red ,with 93000 miles.
It 's a second hand, with some minors issue. Trunk lever is a bit crazy, body paint not perfect, leather getting old. But the general state is fine :).
I do more less 4000 miles a year so it s perfect for my use. I owned and A3, golf VI, polo VI and the A2 is not ridiculous at all!
Il already thank you for the forum because it helps me a lot !
I already install an mp3 link in the glove box.I had it in my A3. Same mount, very easy to do. Sound is great !
I need carpets, dreamin of an armrest, a good clean, and new wheels ! ( sline ?) Cause it came with winter tyres and the wheels are getting old...

I was wondering if my ski could fit in ?
Some pics :).

Welcome to the forum - and that's a nice A2 you've got there :)

There is an aftermarket armrest you can fit, I've read about it on here. To find it yourself, the best way to search the site is with Google, by including 'A2OC:' in the search terms e.g. A2OC: armrest

Regarding the skis, I know the interior space is incredibly versatile but I do wonder if that would be beyond its capabilities ... perhaps one of our Nordic members might have some experience? (Input welcome from anyone who can help, of course ? )

Welcome to the forum. May I suggest you pay the £2 fee to gain full access to the marketplace?
The only armrest I know of is Swedish. It bolts direct to the side of the seat, but is VERY expensive!
I made my own bracket to fit over the handbrake cover and then added an ebay armrest. It works very well.

Thanks for your tips ! I paid i already the fee ;).
I've seen different type of armrest, i ll investigate the your solution Jellybean thanks !
Cup holders are broken too, Sky view seems ok but not sure to open it everyday... Im lucky to leave at german border and there it s easy to find parts and good Audi garage too.
I would love to go to England for an A2 club event ;)

Jean you will be most welcome. I think all events this year will be cancelled, so maybe next year. Keep an eye on here for 2021 dates. Maybe you could drive with Sebastien, from Germany, who has joined us at past events?
Seb_Gurkyh is his name on here.

@Phoenix also comes over for Audis in the Park in his TDI 3L, that's definitely cancelled for this year though.

Salut Jean ! I'm based just outside Paris and am looking for a new car and saw a 1.4 petrol, 62k miles from 2000. I'm tempted to pull the trigger- it's at 2900 euros, which seems a good deal to me? I know used cars hold their value much more in France. Does that see a fair price to you?

If it’s the one I’m thinking of, it looks like a decent upgrade, although it may get in the way of the handbrake, BUT as I recall the cost for the one I saw was astronomical for an aftermarket part - is there another one?

Hello ! Do you have a link to see the A2 ? Well it s still expensive here. I bought mine 3000€. But i saw some around 4000. Whats it s the most important is the seller. If all service are ok and made recently it s a fair deal. In Germany it s also the same price.

The A2 market value varies from country to country. UK is still very affordable whilst in Europe prices seems to be a good 30% more on average, In your case 2.900 Euro for a 62K miles 1.4 could be fair, but it really depends if the car has been well kept/ maintained and if it has nice additional features like OSS, leather seats and so on.

Here's the link

It seems rare to find one without 200km on the odo and frankly after lurking a few weeks on this forum I really want one now :). It's all you guy's fault.

I'm going to talk to the guy again tonight, apart from the upholstery (and I have a small.chikd and a dog so not that fussed there) seems in good condition?

Beware, these A2's get under your skin, and many members have more than one!

The Steering wheel on that looks fairly worn/scratched for the supposed mileage I would say. Not overly confident that it has anything that would warrant the S-Line badges either. (If you care, take a photo of the code sticker near the battery and look up the codes - if it does have sports suspension as the ad says, you're missing out on nicer wheels that came with that)
The Battery appears to have been empty or disconnected recently. (Wow, I've never seen one that goes back to 1999 - the newer models start in 2000 I think :D )
Check whether the park distance control works properly as it does not look original. Might be harder to diagnose than OEM if it does not.

Not sure if this forum also has a check list of things to look for when buying like the german page does?

Hi jean,
I would think that if you recline the front passenger seat right down (towards the rear seats)
You would get all but the longest downhill skis in judging by past experience with13’ fishing rods.
