Newbie with FSI and electrical gremlins

Hi Steve

Thanks for the response. I don’t have an EML light on, just the red oil light. I did get a EML a couple if weeks ago, when the car misfired. The car is being used constantly and not been off the road. I will try the full service, which is due anyway, to see if that helps.
I checked the earth strap, which looked solid. But could do with trying to get a wrench to it, to see if there is any play in it.

Short term is use a jump lead between the engine and chassis. If improvement then headlight earth bad. Why not run a permanent second earth for additional reassurance.
