Noise like faint tyre squeel

Have got an occasional faint noise when turning right, usually at roundabouts.
Have recently changed discs and pads so considering taking off again to regrease and clean.
Have also changed the bolt on ball joint, separate thread on here to discuss non fitting lemforder parts.
Any other ideas before I start...

What about the brake shield? When these are corroded badly and possibly no longer fully bolted home tight to the back of the steering knuckle behind the disc, you can get a metallic squeal noise when it makes contact with the inside of the alloy at some steering angles (unless it is completely dragging and only held on by one bolt making the noise all the time). I've had this happen with my project car when it went last year - intermittent horrible metallic squealing just when turning, then one morning it started non-stop just as I was arriving at work. Got the car home with the noise constant all the way to where I had tools. Had to jack the car up, take off the wheel and then established that this was flapping around, the piece actually came off in my hand having corroded through completely around the three bolt holes.

Could be as there was a bit of corrosion on them when I did the brake. Was thinking of removing completely at the time.
However the noise is very much like a quiet tyre squeel (just like them car park starsky and hutch moments) ??
