Not so smooth acceleration

I think I am starting to notice a bit of judder when accelerating. Its not as smooth as it used to be. There is no shortage of power so was wondering if this could be something as simple as the engine mount?

To help us help you, a few questions -
1. What engine do you have?
2. Does it happen at a particular point in the rev range, or at all times?
3. Does it happen only on full throttle, or at part throttle ?
4. Is it worse in a particular gear?
5. Any new noises?
6. Do you have access to VAGCOM - will be worth seeing if there are any error codes logged
 
I have a 1.4 TDI 2003 engine. It usually happens on full throttle on revs 2000+ I am usually looking for a burst of acceleration only to find a little bit of judder. I think it also happens more on inclines. I'd say gears 3 and 4 are worse culprits. I dont have access to codes unfortunately.
