After 20 months my A2 TDI SE and I are parting company, I would like to say that that our relationship had been without problems, but unfortunately this has not been the case.

Drive shaft problems
Gearbox problems (eventually a new gear Box)
Oil leak
Dashboard rattles
And a radio that didn’t work on AM

On the other hand I will miss the A2

Great little diesel Engine
Great fuel consumption (achieved 74 mpg)
A great little car to drive

I have purchased a VW Golf GTI TDI PD 150bp I take delivery next week, only £9250 trade in, so much for the famed Audi reiduals!

I purchased the VW from the same dealer who sold me the Audi, the reason for this is that the dealership looked after me after those B****ds at Audi UK kept informing me that the gearbox problem, radio, drive shaft problems were just characteristics of the A2.

I think the moral of the story is that if you find a good dealer hang on to him, also if the dealer does go the extra mile for the customer, the time and trouble is often repaid by repeat sales.

On the whole I will miss the A2 but Audi UK’s approach to customer service, or the lack of it, will remain with me for a long time.

Many happy miles driving to all you A2 owners
