NOX (oxygen) Sensor!!

Ok… so mine has had a replacement front pipe… however it doesn’t quite look like in the picture here.
I have a sensor before the first cat, a sensor after the first cat and I have a sensor before the second cat….

Could it be that the down pipe is not the only non standard part of the exhaust? Does the last sensor which should be the dual lambda/NOx sensor, (and post cat), connect to the under floor "box" described earlier in the thread?
I'm wondering if the cat is back to front?
Apologies if this is a silly suggestion, but if it's the correct cat, then the boss for the sensor, (and therefore the sensor itself), should be at the back.
Mac.

Perhaps it is a "skinned" cat? Just an outer case and mounted back to front. Certainly would that alone to peak any MOT testers interest. The whole point of the sensor is to point into the exhaust gas flow for accuracy.

You’re spot on Mac, it’s definitely an aftermarket cat, but it does appear to be mounted back to front. The sensor should indeed be at the other side.

Sportygru now has a ProBoost fitted, so it doesn’t really matter anyway as this sensor signal is disabled.

That sensor is also the second lambda sensor, does ProBoost ignore that too?

I can only say that members have disconnected the probe at the controller completely and it hasn't thrown an eml, affected the way the car drives or stopped it from passing an MOT.

So the second cat is unmonitored with ProBoost. I guess you'd know it was duff at the next MoT.
Mac.
