Guess what! I locked up my audi A2. Left the only key I got in the back seat and smacked the door shut. after 60 seconds......locked!! what do I do now!?

You should have two or for older models: three keys

If you don't have any anymore, you need a professional to open the car.

You could get another key cut at an audi dealership by giving them the vin or registration number.

If your a member of a breakdown service id call them and let choose the best re enrtry route

breaking the side window is an option if you're comp insurance, failing that you need a spare key, so now is the best time to order one :(

If you do go down the broken window route, please don't break either of the opening ones - the cubes of glass will fall into the bottom of the door and rattle around forever!

My choice woulf be to go for the rear quarter if you have no other option.

Cheers,

Mike

Thanks!

Thanks for all replays! I went for the breakdown service. (My father I a member= free of charge) He managed to open the back door sorted it from there:) But I will order a key, thanks!

Very glad to see you're sorted. Hope you don't mind me editing your post to hide the way to get into an A2 from potential thieving scumbags?! Don't take umbrage as no offense is meant by me editing your post.

Hi pgodoe
Good to hear you got the car opened without damage.
When you buy a spare key, go to a main dealer and don't be tempted to get one off e.bay. Although its easy to have a key cut to open the doors, only a dealer can programme the transponder for the immobiliser. Now the bad news, the programmed key will cost around £140. See link for more info - http://www.a2oc.net/forum/showthread.php?t=4511&highlight=coding
