Oil all over engine tray and over our drive - Audi A2 1.4 Oil Filler Pipe 8Z0115302H

Oil all over engine tray and over our drive

cause plastic corrugated filler pipe split at engine end
CURE purchase approx 10” 3/4” heater rubber hose - cut to desired length - this is a push fit onto engine end and jubilee clipped at engine end
at the oil filler tank end - cut the existing fitting piece and jubllee clip this piece to new 3/4” rubber pipe
takes 20 minutes and a couple of quid for 10” 3/4” heater hose and 2 jubilee clips
Audi £120 for flimsy corrugated pipe - that would cost pennies ! Audi A2 1.4 Oil Filler Pipe 8Z0115302H
problem solved
as a separate point - changed gearbox oil at 130,000 miles

Hi, how is this holding up,? I have the same problem, to clarify you kept both ends of the pipe and the heater hose was jubilee clipped at each end? Can the original filler hose be removed without removing any other components. Thanks

Hmm. Heater hose isnt oil resistant, its only meant to withstand hot coolant. Low pressure (light reinforcement, more flexible) oil hose would be a better idea.

Oil filler pipe on 1.4 & 1.6 petrol is held on with one bolt only ( Torx ), very easy to undo the one bolt, nothing else need removing.
just unclip from oil filler & dip stick at the other end, fit new.job done, as per @VAG fool not sure about heater hose pipe though worth a try
considering £120 + VAT at Audi

1.4 Tdi, only a short corrogated pipe, no bolts but fiddly to remove from oil filter housing, hard to get your hands in to undo the clip.
only connects to oil filler at the other end.
Its a half an hour job, Audi charges 11/4 hrs. this also is £120 + VAT at Audi

UPDATE Oil filler pipe £120 or £5
Got a length of oil/fuel hose from ebay. Removed water hose from block, removed old hose, it was split at bottom. Cut off old convoluted pipe leave both ends. Attached both ends to new hose, and refitted, tried to get pic off engine end inlet for filler pipe, but it's very close to the oil cooler. Back in to place. All done in about 45mins. Thanks for all help and info from fellow members. This is an excellent owners club.
