oil leak

Is this a common leak symptom? Appears to be engine oil, but not enough to spot in the road when parked.

It might be a leak from a different part, I've had one of the boots split and the grease had covered the surrounding area and kinda looked like oil leak at first. Try to check it with a torch first, where is it leaking/dripping from.
Also check oil level every week to see if you lose more than usual.

Looking at the smearing over the sump and bolt, assuming you haven't just changed oil?, would likely by running down the back of the engine from the rocker cover

thanks @CrispyEdd and @Sylvester, further investigation needed! I was down there for an oil change but this area was like this before touching the sump plug. I’ll keep an eye levels and get my head in there again. Undertray appeared dry so hopefully not too urgent

Looked identical to my leak which was egr and cam.cover corner back right.
