oil sensor light

happy new year everyone oil sensor light was on and off before xmas decided to take a look today just wondered where abouts it is and would i need to take the plastic piece off underneath to get to it thanks all :)
 
Think theres two sensors for oil

Oil pressure sensor and oil level sensor

Which one you trying to get at. You would need to remove the undershield

hi its the oil level sensor , on the dash its the orange oil can looked in my book it says its the oil level sensor i thought i might take it off first and try cleaning it i just needed to now where abouts and what side its on so i can run my car up a large kerb i have outside so i can squeeze underneath ;)
 
You should jack the car up and put on axle stands if your going under it.

You will also have a job getting the under tray off if both fronts are not lifted off the floor.

Have you checked your oil level??
 
hi all oil fine its the warning lamp with sensor so gonna try get underneath and maybe just clean it and give it a visual check just neede to know which side was on and near front or back etc:confused:
