Older style driveshaft nut- allen key socket size?

Hello Everyone,

Does anyone know what size allen key socket i need for older style Driveshaft nut please? Must be a big one !

From memory 17mm but DON’T hold me to that as it’s some years since I swapped those style of nuts to the latter 12 point design

I know I have a 17mm Allen key for gearbox fill and level hence I’m thinking it was the same size

Hi Paul, 17mm seem easy enough to buy i was thinking it was something silly like 30mm.

I don’t own a set of allen key sockets but looks like i might have to buy some.
