One of my headlights is full of condensation :(

Hey all,
One of my headlight units gets misted up with moisture, pic attached.
The other is fine, is this a common issue?
I’m imagining I need to remove it, dry it out then check the seal on the hatch is fitted correctly.

Yes , yes and yes. What I would do is once removed and dried out , remove the seal from the rear cover and wash it in soapy water then dry it. Now carefully look at the seal and you will see that one side of it now has an indentation, when you fit the seal back into the cover make sure the dented side is against the cover and not the headlight. Give the seal a smear of silicon grease and if you want tape a couple of those little bags of silica gel into the cover before making sure it is correctly fitted and the seal has not been pushed out of its slot. Obviously if the headlight has damage then moisture will get in there and the rear cover will make no difference.

Dry out the headlamp with a heat gun (not too hot) or a hairdryer. Direct the hot air through the cover opening. If you don't have either, put the headlamp in the fridge for a day or two! Once no more moisture is visible, let the headlamp cool down and carefully replace the cover.

Swap the seals over from one cover to the other. Perfectly symmetrical so no more indents, if you wanted you could stick them in with silicone if worried that the seals might still allow some condensation in.

If you still have this problem, follow the thread link, where i described my method of solving this problem;
