Outer CV joint came loose and back, can I drive anyway?

Hello!

The outer CV joint on left driveshaft came loose when forcing out the driveshaft from the hub bearing. I took a ton of sweat and a giant puller. In the battle there was a slight pull in the shaft and the joint came off inside the boot.

I think the joint came off in the spline connection. It was fairly easy to reposition it again. If I tug it with moderate force there is a click and a small movement towards separation. If I pull hard it will come off again.

Now to my question: Is it safe to drive with it? The driveshaft telescopes in the inner CV-joint so there should be no great pulling force. Do you think that there is a risk that it will separate while driving?

Think it's not possible they separate during driving, you'll have to take off the hub to take it apart.
The clicking sound you hear is the spring clip that expandes when you push the CV on to the spline. That said; it's required to put a new springclip on when changing CV joints, at least according to the manual......
