Over zealous wife with a green scrubby thing

Just a wee note on how not to remove tar.The missus was washing the car the other day and noticed tar all over her beloved A2.Determined to remove this blight she ventured forth into the kitchen and aquired a green scrubby sponge thing, yep you guessed it she set about her car with a scourer:eek:.After MUCH effort the tar stayed stuck to the paintwork so she tried everywhere,Doors, wings boot and bumpers(both)still no joy:confused:.She gave up and finished washing and went inside. The car dried and you can guess what the result was:eek:.Thought I was looking at a total respray.Tried colour magic no joy (more like no chance), went down by chance to the local car shop for oil etc for a service and was talking to the dude behind the counter who recommended using Quixx polish so £9.99 later(I was desperate) and I'm on my way home with a little expensive box of this stuff.Tried this stuff broken hearted and trying to make a difference to the plethora of swirls all over the car but was resigned to a respray.Don't know what this stuff is but it has taken all of the swirls out.I mean these were down to the white stuff underneath the paint.Gave the car a going over with colour magic just to finish off and what transformation like new.Its great for taking scratches out paintwork.I have to say at this point that I have no connection at all with this stuff or the company that sells it.What a polish though.
Just thought I would share this with you guys in case you find yourselves in a similar situation.
