Hi folks!
Ive recently bought my A2 1.4 TDI - my god I love it. Its a 2002 model and due to long life serviceing its only had 2 services (now 72k on the clock). Anyway to get to the point Im having a full service done and Im wondering if the following part from Eurocar parts is the correct water pump for my vehicle "201440675". I dont want my mechanic to have the engine out and discover ive bought the wrong part. If anybody has the knowledge and dosent mind looking Id appreciate the help.
Once again, many thanks, Congo.:)

Hi Congo
I checked the Eurocarparts web site and its totally confusing. The water pumps listed are shown as A3 etc parts - and they are out of stock anyway.
Try your Audi dealer. They supply the pumps on exchange for about £30 (take the old one back and they refund your deposit)
If you must have mail order then try GFS - see link

Are you having the cambelt changed at the same time as the pump?

Cheers Spike

Hi Spike, thanks for your reply. Ive already bought the water pump from Eurocar parts but to be honest for the sake of a few quid I think Ill make a visit to my local Audi dealer and make sure I get the right part. Cam belt is getting changed as well as all filters. Anything else you can think of that I might want to change while Im at it?

Hi Congo
In addition to the cambelt, its worth changing the tensioner pulley and small idler roller. I would also use new (genuine Audi) antifreeze - even though its supposed to last forever, it must loose some of its anti-corrosion properties over the years. Also have a good look at the alternator belt while it is off and replace if necessary.

Cheers Spike
