P0340 Error code

A2OC Donor
After 6 weeks waiting to sell old car, A2 was in full use yesterday for first time since 120 mile collection trip which went fine.
Wife was driving it and at some stage EML light appeared.
Car is running fine and is already booked in for Cambelt and service on Tuesday.

Anyone had this code before and is it OK to drive?

Camshaft position sensor

It's the one by the oil filler cap I suppose

Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) active

Possible Causes
Wiring from/to Camshaft Position Sensor (G40) faulty
Camshaft Position Sensor (G40) faulty
Timing misaligned

Possible Solutions
Check Wiring from/to Camshaft Position Sensor (G40)
Check Camshaft Position Sensor (G40)
Check Timing

I guess it's ok to drive as long as timing's right.

But I'm no mechanic son don't take my word for it.
It's just to give you a clue what might be wrong.

Car is driving OK so will treat with kid gloves until garage trip on Tuesday. I'll post follow up then.
 
Garage think its just the sensor so it will be going back in to be replaced. While cambelt was changed (10 year old one looked in good condition) they also replaced the 3rd belt (drives pewer steering?) this was very badly cracked and on last legs.

Probably the auxiliary belt (drives the alternator). I *think* (but not 100% sure) that the power steering is electically driven.
