Hi,

Apologies for basic questions - keen to learn more about my A2

I have an '04 1.4tdi SE is a dark metallic blue. Can anyone tell me where I can find the paint code and if there is a good touch up system available other than from Audi? My car has 2 small areas showing white and some road rash. A touch up pen or similar could do the trick.

There's often a white sticker somewhere in the underfloor battery & tools compartment in the boot, or there might also be one on the inside cover of your service book if you have it. You're looking for a prominent four-character code like LY7R, Google will soon give you the name of the colour for it.
 
The odds are that yours is cobalt blue. There is only one other blue that's a similar colour but that is a non-metallic base colour.
