I have had my 1.4 for about 6 months now and done just over 4400 miles and have already started thinking about a new car-

the good news is that I'm still thinking of an A2!

I wanted to know- does the 1.6 have different suspension to the 1.4's? Not the sport model (as I guess this is lowered) - I mean the normal (or SE) version as I'm think i remember something about Audi using a new set-up on the new model so the ride was not so hard?

I cant find any other car that is as stylish, practical, economical, well built and in a low insurance as mine. (1.4 is in group 6)

Whats the insurance group for 1.6 SE?

Yeah... I remember something about the 1.6 having a different suspension... not sure if it's true, though.

The A2 1.6 SE is in insurance group 8.

Yep, me too. Early on in Audi's announcement of the 1.6 they talked about revised suspension settings to give a more compliant ride, but I don't know if they ever made it into production. I do seem to remember taking out a 1.6 loan car and thinking it rode better but it could have been in the mind!.

I also heared that the 1.6 has a new suspension - but that the others have this new suspension, too - 2003 model or so.
Same thing as the bigger tank...
