Looks OK I guess... headlamps (the round lamps themselves) are too small IMHO. I like the cut-off variety as per A2, A4 etc more: they give the illusion of being big round lights hidden... the kink in the rear side glass looks a bit contrived... rear nice and better executed than the X5. The X5 always looks to me as a 5 Touring with an extra bit of black added to the bottom all around... this one looks more like one car... Will be a huge hit I suspect. It is the sort of size SUV I can definitely live with myself... but can't be bothered with the BMW image one bit thanks... so I will still stick to A3 allroad me thinks... (if was in the market for a small SUV that is...) :D

Mmmm, front OK, side view a little fussy for my liking-need more clean lines. Very very much like the X5-is this good or bad-the X5 has been around for a little while now.

I think a baby volvo XC90 would be gooood!!.

Steve - 2002 1.4SE petrol, Silver, black/black interior, Then an identical replacement 2003 A2. Now a Toyota Corolla 1.6 T-Spirit

yip a baby XC90... so I guess an XC40 (soon to be released based on the Focus platform)... But I like the allroad idea best, a car (not a "truck") suited best for roads (where it will spend 98% of its time) that can also be raised and used off-road if need be... current A6 just too big and expensive for me...

Not for me. I dont think it looks quite right. The X5 was fresh, had the right dimensions and therefore looks great. This car will undoubtably sell, however its got some flaws in its looks.

It's an XC 90 for me. But it won't fit in the garage, It has been suggested that I get rid of the junk, women just don't understand, everything in there will come in handy one day, even the Austin 1100 wheel bearings, and the tool I made up for mending motorcycle clutches (the ones with cork inserts, Really!)

Is this a RAV-4 with the badges changed..?

The X5 says 'look at (my husbands) money'. The XC90 says 'stop! safety'. The Freelander & RAV-4s say 'wish I were a off-roader'

The X3 says (softly) 'go on let's have one to keep up with the neighbours' BUT just like that Alfa it'll cost a packet to run!
