power problem still......

:( hi everbody still got a problem with my power steering,had it pluged in by a friend it's coming up angle sensor g68,does any one no were i could get this fixed the car has been damaged before and had a replacement pump,plus got a drain every 2 days the battery is completly flat checked the boot light and all the things what could cause but nothing please someone help please.......
 
Have you got the fault code as the above info does not tie in. The steering angle sensor is G85 and G68 appears to be a road speed sensor.
Regarding the battery drain problem, I've heard that relays can sometimes stick and keep things live which should shut down when the ignition is off. This was on an A6 but could also apply to A2's. Not sure where to start looking though.

It is quite possible that there is a loom fault, as I had last year. This was shorting out, not so much as to blow a fuse (at first), but enough to draw current.

In the end I suffered total loss of power steering, ambient temperature, brake pad warning and nearside foglight.

As is the case with most electrical faults, they can be hard to track down.

it is G85 fault code.
