Pressure Washer advice?

Bucket and Sponge is the only safe way for Washing Cars. Seals on Cars are only designed to stop rain water / spray at very low pressure. Not the High Pressure from Pressure Washers. They cause damage by forcing water past seals where it was never meant to go. They do not even work to wash Road film away. Complete waste of time and money.
Totally subjective opinion to which we are all entitled of course. I use a power washer regularly as do professional detailers without issue. There's a knack to being sympathetic around seals etc. I would never in a month of Sundays touch my car with a sponge. That gives me the heebie jeebies just thinking about it. A sponge is nothing more than a grit capture to beggar up your clear coat. ????.
But each to their own as the fella said wheh he kissed the cat. ?

PS. I've had 2 Karcher which have both been gratefully received gifts. However I wouldn't recommend one. Plastic components and the pump seals fail. They can be fixed but it's more fiddly than I'm prepared to have a go at. If I was buying one myself I'd go for Nilfisk too.

I have Nilfisk C110 and it is fine. It really depends on budget. Named Nilfisk is far more superior compared to Kärcher K2 in reliability. Foam lance which comes with Nilfisk is bad as other which comes as accesory with washers. Other pressure washer I have good experience is Hitachi with 135bar pressure. It has enough pressure and water flow to run propper foam lance (not the one included e.g. in Nilfisk oř Kärcher)

The cheap are just that and don’t last long at all , my first one was about 18months . My second was the k4 or k5 with the better quality motor and it’s been fine bar the utterly annoying hoes reel year coils up like an eel ... hateful thing

I agree with that. My Macan is ceramic coated and it gets touchless cleaning most of the time with snow foam and a pressure washer, only use a woollen wash mitt after the snow foam if necessary.
Meguires quick detailer is good with a micro fibre cloth to finish it off.
Adam uses the same on his A2 and it always looks smart.

I'll second that, a pressure washer causes too much damage. Even under arches they break electrics, plastics, and ball joint boots etc.
