A higher risk of theft with the high price of aluminium?

I read today that the price of aluminium has reached an all time high. This web site confirms it is over $3,300 per tonne. http://www.lme.co.uk/aluminium_graphs.asp
If you experiment with the options the futures price is even higher. Steel is half the price http://www.lme.co.uk/Steel_Med_Prices.asp

I've read stories of vehicles being stolen and scrapped within hours for their metal content. Are are beloved A2s more at risk or less because being aluminium it has to be handled separately and maybe there are less channels for disposing of aluminium. Mind you, a squashed car with loads of plastic, glass, rubber and some steel must be worth a fraction of the pure metal price.
