Louis, have you tested the broken transponder as it might still work(the glass is there for protection only). Transponders (ID48) are £3-4, VCDS lite with $99 registration can be used to program a new transponder to your car.
Where on the dash is this code located? You need the 4 digit immo code from the dash. VCDS in any form CAN NOT retrieve that info
I’ll give the locksmiths a call tomorrowInside the chips, you need special cable and reader to get this info. Audi will not even supply you that info. That is why I am trying my hardest to steer you towards the Auto Locksmiths as the better ones can connect up to the car and get the immo code, build up the key and program it to the car.
This is what is left of the immobilizer ?Louis, have you tested the broken transponder as it might still work(the glass is there for protection only). Transponders (ID48) are £3-4, VCDS lite with $99 registration can be used to program a new transponder to your car.
Good point, my VCDS cable works fine with VAG Commander to retrieve the SKC. There are good instructions on A2OC though it's not a job I'd necessarily recommend. You need the 4 digit immo code from the dash. VCDS in any form CAN NOT retrieve that info
I think it's safe to assume that's not going to work. Did you drive over it?
No ? it was covered in glue so I tried prizing it up with a screwdriver but it just broke into a thousand piecesI think it's safe to assume that's not going to work. Did you drive over it?
PM sent TomLouis where are located you as I can help out with the SKC and programme a replacement key for you.
Let’s get the SKC first and then order the correct immobiliser chip. It’s been a while since I messed about with such things after I done the exact same thing as you a few years ago.
Kind regards,
Tom
