Project Flipper

Project Flipper took a huge step forward today, The Votex kit was picked up from the bodyshop this morning. I just need to pull my finger out and get it fitted before the lockdown ends and I have to go back to work :D

I was wondering if anyone know the correct way to fit the allen bolts on the boot spoiler? I have the bolts and the black plastic inserts but my question is, do you need to drill the original spoiler so the bolts can go in far enough and how are the black inserts secured in place?

Took a load of bravery pills this morning and decided to have a go at fitting the Votex since the wind had calmed down and the sun was shining

Progress made today so far....Both rear spoilers successfully fitted, the front spoiler wanted to creep down in the middle so had to be kept in place by the jack until the Tigerseal cured properly so that put a stop to the sideskirts being done today so weather permitting that'll be tomorrow's job. Loving the results so far I can't wait to get it completed with the wheels back on and back down on the ground

Well that's the job of fitting the Votex completed and I must say I'm really happy with how it's turned out. Fitting it wasn't half as bad a job as I thought it was going to be but glad I had an extra pair of hands to help me along the way when needed. Apart from a few minor carbon detailing bits that's pretty much the exterior completed. I think my next job will be to upgrade the stereo to Bose or does anyone know of any better options, I want to keep the original single din concert head unit to keep it looking stock just want to have better quality,

I know I've had the kit for about 18 months but never had the time to do it, Everyone's moaning about this lockdown I'm loving it, I'm getting loads done ?

It’s one of those cars that probably looks even better in person. Can’t help but think a gloss black service flap would look better now though.

I went colour coded on the last votex kitted A2 I had

In my opinion red looks better as orange looks more aftermarket, depends on the look your going for.

Yes but everyone and there dog has red and I don't like being a sheep following the crowd that's why I went down the orange route instead ?

If Audi had made an S2 Black Edition........

I didn't think the wheels suited it if I'm honest but that was before you fitted the Votex kit. Now I think they look really good and actually make it look newer/younger than it is.

I have actually thought of doing something S2 esque in the past but would have used the correct period S3 wheels which I really like anyway and I think Audi would have used if they had made one but I must say you've done a very nice job and it looks great ?
