Any ideas what this second dipstick is for ???

I have pulled it out and there is no fluid on it ???

I’m guessing there should be fluid on it as it’s a dip stick!!!

Ruby is a 1.4 BBY engine

Looks like its had a replacement engine at some point...….....is the dipstick pushed all the way into the tube, the tube should be wider at the top to accommodate the orange bit with the ridges on...……...does the engine no tie in with the one on the V5?

All the numbers are on the cover sticker in your pic..

Hi bud I used this stuff out of the meguiars Headlight kit

I’m pretty sure another quality lacquer would give the same results

It’s all original as far as I know !!!!

It looks all original too !!!

The dipstick is pushed in all the way it won’t go any further

Maybe a mechanic lost the original dipstick and then put a different one in place ??? ??

A2 dipstick is behind front panel...……....not in engine bay unless my info is incorrect...……..
Have you checked the engine no with log book?
Is there a dipstick in the front panel?????
The dipstick you show is the type found in the Polo/Lupo etc...…..personally I think someone has done a bodge at some point......

No no no

All BBY Engines have a dipstick there but I don’t know why and what for !!!

The dipsticks for the engine oil are in the right place as they should be

I think someone has lost the Dipstick and then replaced it with another VW/Audi one what they had laying around
