This was how Project Tdi 90 sport in Ebony black came to me, needing a few jobs done inside and out but mainly the fan motor needing replaced, a O/S/F ABS fault needing looked at, drivers door check strap was missing, the wheels needed a refurb, the seats needed to be replaced for a set of red leather sports and the usual worn soft touch buttons but all in all a pretty nice car.

I'll update the progress made so far once I get time to do so

It was never my plan to keep those seats in the 90 as they were custom made SE spec leather seats for a red Colourstorm, It was always my plan to get hold of a set of red leather sports seats. I ended up buying this gem from Bob aka Jellybean and went about finding an interior (Long story) ?

The first stage of the transformation was fitting the red leather door cards, while I started mission impossible tracking down the red sports leather

I then managed to track down a set of red leather SE seats and got them fitted till a set of sports turned up. I then found a set, I claimed first dibs on them and very nearly bought a complete car to give the seller the cloth sports he was after but unfortunately the seller and a [dishonourable person] bought them from under me even after I said I would take them, not mentioning any names tho :rolleyes: But lets just say their cards have been firmly marked ?

A Red CS is my objective next year, need it to join my two Blue Storm ⛈ .
 
I or should I say Nathan (Thanks pal ;)) finally managed to track down a complete set of set of red sports leather that were a bit grubby but after a days cleaning, condition and polishing they came up real nice. You can see the difference of the before and after in the last pic, the rears weren't that bad compared to the fronts. The cars looks more like it should inside and the sports are so much better to sit in compared to the SE seats.

So more pics of the progress made the last couple of weeks, firstly I added gloss black badges to the tailgate and gloss black Sline badges to the sides

Then added an auto headlight switch which completed the switch gear tidy up

I then fitted a spare false floor kit I had sitting about (excuse the mess I took pics before I hoovered it out ? )

I removed the aftermarket headunit and fitted a nice Concert II supplied by @Clackers Thanks pal ;)

At the end of last week I finally got my kit back from the paintshop, I need to get the car into the drive, get it up on axle stands, wheels off and get the rest fitted but in my excitement I stuck the boot spoiler on ?

Thanks Edd, the stereo was one I restored, it completes the oem look of the dash. Yeah it's slowly getting there I just hope the weather holds up long enough to let me get the rest of the kit fitted
