Project Tdi Sport 90

Morning Iain,

If you’re after lowering this great looking A2 without spending a vast amount then I might possibly be able to help.

Still sat in the box are the Coilovers that Steve removed from Black Beauty. Not had a need to fit them yet. Pretty certain I only paid £95 plus delivery but searching now to confirm.

If you wanted them I would let them go and get another set in the future when the requirement arises.

Let me know your thoughts whilst I continue to search For the advertisement for them.

Edit: Couldn’t find anything here on the Clubs pages but found the conversation with Steve on WhatsApp. I paid £95 delivered. If youre interested then I’ll send you pictures later on.

Kind regards,

Tom
Hi Tom,

I'm not entirely sure if I want to go down the coil over route on this one. They look good but kinda spoil the ride quality a bit and tbh if I was to go down that route I'd probably go for a set of brand new Jom blueline's for all the costs involved but hey thanks for the offer it's much appreciated from memory but that could be completely off the mark was it not Stance coils that Steve was selling or am I thinking of someone else?

Thanks,
Iain

Morning Iain,

Fully understand what you’re saying. Probably the reason why I’ve not fitted them yet. They’ll make it onto another A2 soon enough though, I’m sure if it.

I honestly don’t know what make they are. They’re are unbranded from what I can see.

Maybe @A2Steve could comment.

Kind regards,

Tom

Pretty sure they are FK street. As below, but for the 9N obviously. I painted them to help with corrosion hence why you can’t see the brand.

What about bilstein and eibach (Fabia 6Y) combo? This is my set up with 205/45/17 tyres is unexpectedly comfortable ?

Any rubbing at all can I ask, as this must be the ultimate test as to if the 205/45 17 tyres are a viable rub free option or not with the car being lowered? Thanks

I like the look of that set up as I'm not overly keen on putting coils on this one, Do you have any links or part number that would make my life easier to source the correct parts?

Thanks

1 x Skoda Fabia 6y Eibach Pro-Kit spring set E7910-140 (this includes EW 7910001VA - front springs and EW 7910002 HA rear springs)
This is Only for TDI and FSI motorized A2’s!

Bilstein B6 & B8, both are excellent in combination with the eibach prokit.

B6 front 35-052173
B6 rear 24-067898
B8 front 35-052180
B8 rear 24-067904

The original Eibach prokit for the Audi A2 had lower rear stance from factory. The rear springs of the Fabia 6Y eibach prokit are 15mm longer so no lower rear stance, as we like it!

Front and rear axle load difference of the A2 and Fabia prokit for reference;

A2:
Front axle max. 770kg - 830kg (petrol - diesel/FSI)
Rear axle max. 780kg

Fabia 6Y2:
Front axle max. 900kg (TDI and FSI)
Rear axle max. 800kg

I used the normal rubber upper spring mounts and new lower PUR mounts (yellow ones).
At the front new strutmounts on top.

Hope this helps?

@Andy 53i as I was recommending to you.

I read that the Eibach-Pro-Kit for the Polo 9n was the same as the Fabia 6y - both suited for the A2. But the part-numbers are not the same:
As @DuncanA2 said the Fabia-Kit is E7910-140; the Polo-Kit ist E10-85-008-02-22.
Anyone really know if the lowering-effect is the same??

I was looking at fitting these, has anyone any experience of them ?

Aren’t these the latest version of the FSD dampers that were a preferred option until it was discovered the spring platform corroded?

More expensive than B4s, but could offer a better ride/road holding compromise.

So do these come with better spring platforms now or still suffer with corrosion? Thanks
