Pull down visor in front of the centre interior lights

Has this bit of plastic that pulls down got a purpose? :D
It's for that moment when the sun is not able to be shaded by either normal visor - Audi really do think of everything you know!

Yes, I was very impressed when I saw that, but then Audi didn't go the extra step of making an extendable visor! A bit annoying when the visor cannot cover the whole length of the side window!

also discovered visor...

Just had a hands free kit removed from my trusty A2 and a put into replacement car (a Boxster S) and noticed the visor for the first time (after three years of ownership!):) . A2 is now my wife's car and we both love it, especially the attention to design that means you keep noticing new things.

Three of us at work share 2 Fiesta 1.4TDCi vans and we generally use them individually for two months and then drive our cars for a month or two.
Today was my first day since the start of April driving the Pink Panzer to and for work.

I've had weeks in that cr**py Fiesta of being blinded by the sun over the top of the rear view mirror and have missed that little visor.

Naturally sod's law dictated that this morning was foggy.

Also first time in ages I arived at work with grin on face, particualry after a Merc tried (and failed miserably) to over take me on a climbing lane just after a rounabout.
I've nicknamed that open mouthed, puzzled/surprised look the 'A2 stare' as the little one leaves them behind.

Cheers

A friends VW Bora also has the little drop down visor in the centre.
He's owned the car for nearly 3 years also ,and had never noticed it until I pointed it out.
Attention to detail like this is one reason why I like my Audis!
