Pull to the left

I've had my A2 a few weeks, it pulls to the left despite having had the tracking adjusted and readjusted 4 times now.Tyres are all inflated ok. It also makes a loud crack/clonk noise when you slowly reverse on full lock to the right...wonder if these things could be connected and if anyone has had the same trouble..while we're at it, it's pretty noisy from the engine when accelerting, is this normal??

All A2s pull to the left to some extent, it's a trait of the car unfortunately. It's partly due to the road camber and partly due to the running gear only ever really intended to be left hand drive!

The clonk on full lock is almost certainly due to the damper top bearing sticking and has been covered recently. The bearings are £10 each and you'll need 1 per side, 2 total. Labour will be the major expense - budget for about 2-3 hours.
