Quality Service Parts

I’ve just bought a few service parts for my 2005 TDi 74 bhp from Halfords: Bosch oil filter £4.78; Bosch air filter £7.86; and Bosch cabin filter £5.85 all inclusive of VAT. That’s much cheaper than ECP, GSF and another local quality German Motor Factors. Just a reminder folks that Halfords can be very competitive if using a Trade Card.

I’ve also ordered 2-litres of Febi Bilstein 75W GL-4 fully synthetic gear oil at £11.39 per litre (better than the Audi recommended G060 726 A2 mineral oil), for a slick gear change.

That is if you can still find an open branch of Halfords. My 2 closest branches have shut!!!!!

Good prices but don't forget the fuel filter these are on a year change and the later benefits from @depronman fuel filter drain bung (if later style with cartridge in plastic housing)

Would strongly recommend a additional earth lead too!

I have at least 8-stores within 10-miles of where I live in Manchester

the seller had replaced a partially blocked fuel filter the same week I bought the car from him at almost £100 parts and labour 😱

I was browsing for a pair of Sachs 314125 shocks and was surprised when Halfords had the best deal for them. I must look for my trade card!

I was just about to start a new thread but noticed this appear. In these times of the rise in the cost of living sharing good offers means the saved pounds can be spent on something else!
@PlasticMac I'm not sure if you are an Admin but having a sticky post of unearthed bargains could prove useful.

Like your Quantum Oil 5w 30 via Amazon for £33 delivered.

Today I picked-up a set of 4 Bosch FGR6HQE0 quad node spark plugs from Halfords. They were £4.77 each rather than £6.18 at GSF.
Noted someone on ebay has them for as little as £3.65!
Funny thing at Halfords was that I had to order them on-line to collect the next day so you could say I spent some of my saving having to go back. But now I know the process for next time!

Hi @AndyBa I'm not an Admin.
There is a similar Discount Spotted thread running in the Market Place, can't remember the title though.
Mac.
Edit: It's this one:
