Quirky cars?

First car I bought for my wife. Has hammock seats!
So basic she called it Watson
Easily identifiable but still very ‘quirky’ hugely versatile with removable seats (remind you of anything we know), she loved it so much her next car was a higher spec version of the same car i.e. it had upholstered seats!

Renault Quatre L?

This thread is addictive!
Perhaps not that quirky but as a company car it was outside the run of the mill back in the early 80’s. Drove it through Paris with my wife following in another company car. Panicking as we drove around the Etoile that we must not crash into each other.

Definately a car I wish I had owned trouble is like most lancia's of the time they went rusty rather rapidly

Yep. Only too glad it was a company car, short lived but great fun
Only just realised how much it reminded me of the styling of Audi coupe I got a Few years later

This is my quirkiest. Passive rear wheel steering, electric mirror for passenger's side only (manual on driver's side), keycode immobiliser. Engine canted backwards about 45°. Loved it to bits and drove it nearly 100k in 6 years starting from just under 70k. It's coming up for 150k in this photo.

I had a 2lt Lancia beta coupe very quick in its day but when you arrived where you where going you always walked around the car to make sure it had all arrived with you
Then like a silly begged I bought a lancia montecarlo now that was nice

Just not great in the British climate when lancia made them from recycled washing machines

My grandpa, direct from retiring from the board of Allied Baking Company, bought one of these for his retirement.

A Daf Variomatic

Quirky car for a quirky (in a very good way) man.

The rubber band gear box even worked on the steep hills of Torquay, which is where they lived.
And the Dafjes were able to win any reverse racing as the variomatic worked with same ratios in reverse.
