Re mapping 1.4 Petrol car.

I am looking to change the Cams, inlet and TB from a AUB engine to my AUA. So looking to see if anyone Can Remap the ECU to run it. From what I can see with ELSA, ELWIN and AUTODATA these are the only differences between the engines. So with free flowwing manifold too. should see 100bhp...
 
Ah yes, I'd forgotten that it was you who was considering playing with AUB parts.

I think the petrol ECUs are made by Magnetti Marelli. Will Vince at Stealth not touch these?
Have you got the original ECU from the AUB engine? Is it a straight swap, with the necessary immobiliser help from Audi...?

Only have the complete engine, and it was removed from a lupo anyway and dont think the ECU with work..
 
Spent the day looking into the wiring on both AUA and AUB ECU and looks like I can just Swop them over. will be trying this soon. Will let people know..
 
Try MRC Tuning in Banbury, they're excellent for n/a engines and custom hardware - they'll do "live as you drive" mapping, that's what they did when they mapped my 3.0 V6 a few years back.
 
thanks Dan, Know MRC tuning very well. They built my Audi S4. been working with Doug before he opened MRC... Minhea doesn't like the ECUs made by Magnetti Marelli, will ask him nicely Again... lol
 
I Like the look of the S2, but never liked driving them. didnt get on with the 5 pot engine, this is why I got the B5 S4, V6 twin turbo = No Lag... watch videos from 2005 both me and doug at Trax's. I launch my S4 at 3000RPM Dougs launches the S2 at 6000RPM. LOL both cars were running about 450bhp at the time...

Oh but that 5cyl turbo has so much character! Such a distinctive engine/exhaust noise which for me is one of the defining things of the quattro. Yes it had lag but it was an engine/ECU/turbo system designed in the mid-80s...
