Rear ride height.

Hi, would appreciate any advice regarding increasing the ride height for the rear suspension. 1.4 petrol. Are there any heavy duty springs available to replace standard springs or spacers etc. Regards Memphis

I went from aftermarket rear springs (that came with the car when I bought it) to the factory rear spring setup:

Perhaps taking yours back to the factory setup as well might help with your ride height situation. Good luck.

The after market ones here look like there’s no rear suspension trave and the car has a problem. In my opinion the factory setup is much better. Just looks right.

Would it be worth considering new genuine Sport rear springs (especially those designed for an A2 with OSS?)

That way you are using genuine Audi springs and yet stiffening the rear, the ride height would be similar to standard too.

I don't think the sport springs are lower than standard, but happy to be corrected?

Precisely my thoughts. I see so many A2s where the lower PUR spring seat is either missing entirely or has been pulverised to the point of uselessness.
The rear spring should not be touching any metal at either end.

Cheers,

Tom
Thank you all regarding replies about rear ride height. The lower spring seats were indeed both perished. Have replaced both rear springs, upper and lower spring seats, both shock absorbers and top mounts.
I did a before and after measurement wheel arch to centre cap of wheel. It has increased the ride height by 5cm. Car now sits level. Thank you for your help and advice.
