Rear seat question

Interesting a side trim is missing a fixing pin as though someone has removed it before and lost the pin within the seat. Easily done (don't ask), I warned about this in post 28 (& sequel) in the Ultimate thread. In fact the side trim looks a little out of position going by crease in the seat covering, seems to have dropped a bit in the picture but I doubt this is the cause of the problem.

Andy I also do not think the trim is the problem, but something could have dropped inside and jammed the mechanism. That is why I suggested the shaking and rotation of the seat. He could even try flicking the catch and the handle to persuade something to come out.

Thanks again for all your comments and suggestions. Unfortunately I haven't had chance to shake it all about yet but I will give it a go when the rain stops one day. I don't hold up much hope that I will be able to fix the seat.
Yes perhaps there was a problem with the seat before my ownership, hence the hole and disturbed trim.

I was hopeful that I could obtain a replacement but the car must have sold. It was a bargain £500, SE red leather perspex repaired OSS Bose speaker grills perhas other Bose bits but no sub (when prompted) 200k miles and well worn out and lots of work needed Located far away from me in Wales. I wanted better photos and if the seat i needed was good it would have been a very cheap replacement or even profitable. The seller wasn't very helpful but it is probably my loss.
