Rear seat roof lights not working

Hi my rear seat lights don't seem to work in any situations.

Bulbs are fine
Rear door locks been changed and still nothing
Front door driver side is perfect and front light operates as normal.

Any ideas?

Dried solder joint in the light unit needs reflowing. At least one of mine has had the same issue and been fixed by Tom.

Hello.

I noticed recently that when opening any of the doors, only the front interior lights illuminated. The rear lights would illuminate only when the front light was set to be always on using the rocker switch, which is different to other cars and certainly does not seem conventional. I began attempting a repair by checking the wiring to the front light, but all seemed well. I then removed the rear light by gently prising it out, it is held in by 4 spring clips and simply pulls out from the headlining. Repaired it as per the link, re soldered the faulty blob of solder. Dead easy 10 mins job.
Chuffed. Pre solder photo..

That was also my very first fix 6 years ago - incredibly satisfying.
