Red LED door flasher?

Upon locking the car how should the LED operate and does it signal a fault if it flashes a particular way?
Recently fitted a AF CCCU all seems good, but I think the flashes have changed from my Q, I get 5 rapid ones then one every 20 seconds or so then it seems to stop flashing at all, is this normal?

Thanks

That is almost the same pattern as my car. 5 initial quick flashes then slows down to a flash every approx 3 seconds but this continues until the car is unlocked again.

SSP240 page 49 explains more about the flashing but does not cover your sequence..

Pure guess / speculation here but it could indicate there is a problem with the alarm siren backup battery. I take it your immobiliser is not disabled?

Was fine with old Q cccu

To clarify rather than guess I just checked properly

7 rapid flashes
28 consecutive flashes
1 final flash
Seemingly then nothing, takes no more than a minute for the full sequence?

Dont seem to have any issues but the alarm has gone off once to my knowledge for no known reason

I get the chirp on locking and also has anti hijack enabled

Dont think it's immobiliser as that's the same state it was with Mr "Q"

30 seconds after locking you should get it settling down to 1 flash of a half-second every 2 seconds, continuing until the car in unlocked again, the way Graham @audifan's car does. So I do believe yours is indicating a problem, but I don't remember where I read or heard what the lack of a flash from that point on actually means.
