Remap and mileage

Hi,

I've skimmed ove the remap threads, but couldn't find any of these directly dealing with mileage of the car and remap being still recommended or not.

My A2 has 140.000 Km (87000 miles I assume) and has always been to Audi for servicing. Any thoughts if a remap would still be advisable considering the mileage ?

Thanks

I am sure someone more knowledgable than me will comment however i had a 'plug n play' tuning box installed on my previous A6 with 130,000 miles on the clock. to lessen the stress on the engine i set it up at the softer end of the remaps available. i would suggset if you have a remap set up on a rolling road it would enable the installer to map it less agressivley.

I just had my 1.4TDI remapped at 95,000 miles.... seems grand to me.. drives like a new car.

I would have to agree with Adrian if you go to get it mapped with someone thats got a rolling road it would be set up better, as they would do it to your car.
I had mine done at Stealth the first map they did gave alot of power but smoked to much at top end so they played with untill it was ok ;), i would say go in and ask there opinion (local remapper to you)

Cheers Phil
